Okay, so I wanted to figure out what’s the deal with Lexi Thompson’s driving average. You know, she’s a big name in golf, and I was curious about how far she actually hits the ball. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while, and I finally got around to doing some digging.

First off, I gotta say, I’m no expert. Just a regular guy who likes watching golf and gets a kick out of seeing these pros smash the ball a mile. But yeah, Lexi’s been on my radar, and I wanted to know more about her driving distance.
So, I started by just watching some of her rounds. You can see right away she’s got a powerful swing. I mean, the way she winds up and unloads on the ball, it’s pretty impressive. I tried to mimic it a few times at the driving range, but let’s just say I didn’t get the same results.
Next, I went online and started looking for some stats. Turns out, this info isn’t super easy to find, but I did find some articles and forum posts talking about it. Some folks were saying she averages over 250 yards, which is insane! I mean, most average players would be happy just to break 200.
I found that someone mentioned that Lexi’s driving distance has gotten so long because of her technique. I mean her swing is so good, I’ve tried to do it myself many times but I’ve got no way to do it. I’m not so good at golf.
After that, I wanted to see how her average compared to other LPGA players. From what I gathered, she’s definitely up there among the longest hitters. It seems like distance is a big advantage in the women’s game, just like it is in the men’s.

- Watched some of Lexi’s rounds.
- Looked for stats online.
- Tried (and failed) to copy her swing.
- Compared her average to other players.
- Tried playing golf myself.
My Results
Well, I didn’t find an exact number for her driving average, but it’s clear she’s one of the longest hitters out there. It’s cool to see how she uses that distance to her advantage. It got me thinking about my own game and how I could maybe add a few extra yards. I guess it’s back to the driving range for me! And I found out that someone, I forgot his name, has always been top four since 2016 on PGA Tour for driving distance. That’s incredible!
Anyway, this was a fun little project. I learned a bit more about Lexi and got some ideas for my own game. Maybe I’ll even break 200 yards one day! I should have practiced more and maybe watched more. But anyway, it was a good try.
