Well, let me tell ya, back in 1994, WWF was all the rage. Now, don’t go thinking it’s like the stuff we see today. No, no. This was the good ol’ days, when wrestling was real, and the names they had in that roster were something else. If ya were a fan back then, you’d know what I mean, I tell ya! The year 1994 was one of them big years in wrestling, and the roster, well, it had some of the best folks you could ever imagine.
First off, ya had Bret “Hitman” Hart. Now that feller, he could wrestle like nobody’s business. He’d take folks down in that ring faster than a chicken runnin’ from a fox. And then, we got ol’ Shawn Michaels. Now, I ain’t sayin’ nothin’ bad, but that boy had a way with his moves that just made ya go, “How’d he do that?” He could jump and twist in the air like a squirrel on a sugar rush.
Then, there’s The Undertaker. Now, that one, he’s a mystery, ain’t he? He’d come out all dressed in black, lookin’ like he was about to raise the dead. His matches with folks like Yokozuna, well, they had the crowd just on the edge of their seats. And I’ll tell ya, that match between Yokozuna and The Undertaker in a Casket Match? Whoo-wee! That was somethin’ to see, lemme tell ya!
And don’t forget about that big feller, Yokozuna himself. He was as big as a barn, but man, could he move for a big guy! He defended his WWF title against The Undertaker that year, and let me tell ya, people weren’t sure who was gonna come out on top. It was like watchin’ a bull and a bear go at it, both of ’em stompin’ around like they owned the place.
Oh, and then there’s the tag teams. Them Quebecers, they had a wild time that year, takin’ on folks like the 1-2-3 Kid and Jim Powers. Them tag teams, they didn’t just wrestle, they put on a show, ya know? It was like watchin’ a couple of bulls lock horns in the middle of the ring. People loved it!
Now, ya might also remember a feller named Bastion Booger. He wasn’t the prettiest feller in the ring, that’s for sure, but that man had some tricks up his sleeve. And when you got folks like Men on a Mission takin’ him on, it was a wild ride every time they squared up.
1994 also saw some changes in the WWF calendar. Ya had your usual big pay-per-views, but it was the last year they only had five of ’em. After that, well, the calendar sure got a lot busier. But let me tell ya, back in ’94, it was the perfect amount. Ya could keep up with all the wrestlin’ without gettin’ overwhelmed, and each event was somethin’ special, I tell ya.
And let’s not forget the folks behind the scenes. People like Steve Lombardi, ya know? He might not have been in the spotlight all the time, but that man worked hard and did his part to make sure the show went on. Sometimes, it’s the folks workin’ behind the curtain that make the magic happen.
In the end, 1994 was one of them years that any wrestling fan worth their salt will remember. The roster was stacked, the matches were intense, and the excitement was like nothin’ else. So, if ya missed it, well, you missed somethin’ special, I tell ya that much!
