Okay, so today I wanna talk about this dude, John Flaherty. I’ve been digging into some stuff lately, and his name popped up. Honestly, I didn’t have a clue who he was at first. But then I started, you know, poking around the internet, trying to piece things together.
First, I just did a basic search. You know, just typed his name into the search bar and hit enter. The usual stuff came up – some random articles, a few social media profiles, nothing too exciting. It felt like I was hitting a dead end. I mean, there are probably a million John Flahertys out there, right?
But then I remembered something I read a while back about using these things called “search operators.” Basically, they’re like little commands you can add to your search to make it more specific. I figured, why not give it a shot? I added some quotation marks around his name, like this: “John Flaherty”. Boom! Suddenly, the results were way more relevant.
I started seeing stuff about a John Flaherty who was into knowledge management, or “KM” as they call it, and information management, “IM.” Apparently, these are important things for making decisions, especially in big organizations. I found some online flashcards, and one even mentioned something called TCCC, which I guess is some kind of training for military people who aren’t doctors. Intresting, but not quite what I was looking for.
Then, I stumbled upon this article that talked about some random facts and mentioned something about a guy named John Michell who talked about black holes way back in 1783. This got me thinking, maybe there’s some connection between this John Flaherty and some historical stuff.
So, I tried a new search. This time, I combined his name with the word “history”, still using the quotation marks. I got a bunch of different stuff this time. I felt like I was getting warmer. I even found something about how the B-52 bomber plane can use cartridges to jump-start its engines, which is kinda cool but totally unrelated.
I kept playing around with different search terms, trying to narrow things down. I used some of the different search operators that I found in an article. It took a bit of trial and error, but eventually, I started to get a clearer picture of who this John Flaherty guy is.
My Findings
After spending hours digging around, here’s what I learned:
- This John Flaherty seems to be some kind of expert in how information is handled and used, especially in big organizations.
- He’s probably not the same guy who was talking about black holes back in the 1700s, that was some other guy.
- He might know a lot about military stuff, or maybe not. It was hard to tell from the flashcards I found.
Honestly, I still have a lot of questions. But I feel like I made some good progress today. I learned a ton about how to use search operators to find what I’m looking for online. And I got a little bit closer to figuring out who this John Flaherty guy is. Maybe I’ll keep digging tomorrow. Or maybe I’ll just watch some videos of B-52 bombers starting up. Who knows?
