So, the other day, I was digging around the internet, trying to find out more about this Drax Shadow guy. You know, the kid who was into WWE? Yeah, well, I stumbled upon his story, and it’s pretty heart-wrenching.
I started by looking up who Drax Shadow even was. Turns out, he was this little dude named Elijah Mainville, and he was a huge WWE fan. They even made him an honorary superstar, which is pretty cool. But here’s the sad part: he was battling cancer.
From what I gathered, he passed away on January 8, 2017. It hit me right in the feels when I read that he was relieved of his pain at around 10:00 PM PST. Just a kid, you know? Only nine years old. It’s tough to even think about.
I kept scrolling, and I saw that a lot of people, including some WWE superstars, were really bummed out about it. He got mentioned a few times, and there were some articles too. One even said that he passed away at 10:15 PM on Sunday night, but then another mentioned it was 10:00 PM. Not a big deal, but I like to get my facts straight.
- Elijah Mainville, aka Drax Shadow, passed away from cancer.
- He was a WWE honorary superstar.
- He died on January 8, 2017, around 10:00 PM or 10:15 PM PST.
- Many people, including WWE stars, were saddened by his death.
What I found:
It’s just a reminder that life is fragile, you know? It makes you want to hug your loved ones a little tighter. This kid, Drax Shadow, he left a mark on a lot of people, even though he was so young. I just wanted to share this with you guys because it really stuck with me.
After reading about Elijah, I ended up on some random game website, trying to distract myself, I guess. It was a game about rolling a ball, nothing special. But it made me think about how we all just keep rolling along, even when things get tough. Just like Elijah did, fighting until the end.
Then, I somehow landed on a Bible verse about Jesus being flogged. It was a weird jump, I know, but it got me thinking about suffering and how even though it’s a part of life, it doesn’t make it any easier.
Later on, I found myself reading about the extinction event of dinosaurs, which made me realize how things can change in an instant. One minute you’re here, the next you’re not. It’s a heavy thought, but it’s real.
Lastly, I bumped into a passage about Jesus’s birth. I guess this whole internet journey took me through a whole range of emotions and thoughts, from sadness to reflection and everything in between. It all started with Drax Shadow, though. Rest in peace, little buddy.
