Alright, let’s talk about something I did recently – figuring out the Auburn football depth chart. You know, who’s playing where, who’s backing up who, that kind of thing.
First thing I did was check out the official Auburn site. I thought, “They’ve gotta have the most up-to-date info, right?” Well, I found some stuff, but it wasn’t as detailed as I’d hoped. They had some basic listings, but not the full picture.
So, I started digging around on some fan forums. You know, places where the die-hard fans hang out. I figured these folks would be in the know. I browsed through a few threads, read some comments, and I started to piece things together. There was a lot of speculation, of course, like, “Oh, I heard this guy is injured,” or, “I bet they’ll move this player to this position.” It was messy, but I picked up some clues.
Then I went to some sports news sites. I looked at articles about recent games, press conferences, and any interviews with the coaches. I was looking for any tidbits about who was playing, who was out, and any hints about changes to the lineup. I found a few articles that mentioned some injury updates, which helped explain some of the stuff I saw on the forums.
After that, I decided to get a little organized. I grabbed a notebook and started making my own list. I wrote down the positions – quarterback, running back, wide receiver, etc. – and then I started filling in the names based on what I’d gathered. I put the likely starters in one column, then the backups in another. I even made some notes about who might be a surprise starter based on what I’d read.
It wasn’t perfect, but I felt like I had a pretty good handle on the Auburn depth chart. I even shared my list with some buddies online, and we had a good discussion about it. Some agreed with my picks, others had different opinions. It was all part of the fun.
Here’s what I came up with:
Offense
- Quarterback: Based on the recent game, Payton Thorne seems to be the starter. Robby Ashford is the backup.
- Running Back: Jarquez Hunter looks like the main guy, with Damari Alston as the primary backup.
- Wide Receiver: This is trickier. Rivaldo Fairweather, and Shane Hooks seem to be getting a lot of snaps.
Defense
- Defensive Line: Marcus Harris, Jayson Jones, Justin Rogers are likely starters.
- Linebacker: Eugene Asante and Austin Keys seem to be the main guys here.
- Secondary: Jaylin Simpson, Keionte Scott and D.J. James are playing a lot.
It was a bit of a process, but it was kind of fun to play detective and try to figure out the Auburn depth chart. It’s always interesting to see how things change throughout the season, especially with injuries and players stepping up. So, that’s my story. Hopefully, it gives you a little insight into how I went about it. It wasn’t anything fancy, just some good old-fashioned digging around and piecing things together. Not sure if I’d do it again.
