Alright, so I got my hands on College Football 25, and let me tell you, the create-a-player feature is pretty darn cool. I spent a good chunk of time messing around with it, and I figured I’d share my experience, step-by-step, for anyone else who’s diving in.
Firing Up the Game
First things first, I booted up the game on my PS5. Now, I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition, so I actually got to start playing a bit early, on July 16th. If you got the Standard Edition, you’ll have to wait until July 19th. And for those ballers who went all-in on the MVP Bundle to get both College Football 25 and Madden NFL 25, you’ll get your Madden content on August 13th. Patience, my friends!
Finding the Create-a-Player Menu
Once the game loaded, I navigated through the menus. It wasn’t too hard to find, it is called “Create-a-Player”. I clicked on that, and boom, I was in.
Crafting My Player
This is where the fun really began. I started by picking my player’s position. I’ve always been a fan of quarterbacks, so I went with that. Then came the appearance. There are tons of options here, from face shape to hairstyle to even the little details like eye color and facial hair. I spent a good amount of time here, trying to make my guy look just right.
- Appearance: I made my guy around 6’2″, with a solid build. Chose a cool haircut, a bit of stubble, you know, the works.
- Equipment: This was another rabbit hole. I decked out my player with the best gear I could find. We’re talking top-of-the-line helmet, shoulder pads, cleats, everything. I wanted my guy to look like a pro from day one.
- Attributes: This is where things get serious. You get to allocate points to different skills. For a QB, I focused on things like throwing power, accuracy, and awareness. I also put some points into speed and agility because, hey, a mobile QB is always a threat.
Testing My Creation
After I was happy with how my player looked and his stats, I saved him and then jumped into a quick game to test him out. It was awesome seeing my creation in action, slinging passes and making plays. I even managed to throw a couple of touchdowns, which felt pretty rewarding.
Final Thoughts
All in all, creating a player in College Football 25 is a blast. It’s super detailed, and you can really make a player that fits your style. Whether you want to create a powerhouse running back, a lockdown corner, or a gunslinging QB like I did, the options are all there. I’m looking forward to taking my created player through a full career mode and seeing how far we can go. It’s going to be a wild ride, and I’m here for it. You should give it a try sometime!
