Hey everyone, it’s been a while! Today, I wanna talk about someone who’s been popping up in my searches lately: Ashley Kerr, specifically related to Oklahoma. Turns out, she’s connected to two big names in Oklahoma sports. Funny how the internet works, right?
So, I started digging. First thing I found out? Ashley’s the wife of Mark Daigneault, the head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Yeah, the basketball team! I’m not a huge basketball fan, but I gotta say, it’s a pretty big deal. They seem like a nice couple. They even have a son together, Mark Jr., born in 2021. That’s cute!
But here’s where it gets even more interesting, especially for me because I do follow gymnastics. Turns out, Ashley Kerr is also a big deal in the gymnastics world. I spent some time looking through gymnastics forums and news, and guess what? She used to be an assistant coach for the University of Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team!
- University of Oklahoma Women’s Gymnastics: She was there for eight seasons, helping out with the beam routines. She was actually a volunteer assistant coach for six seasons, ending in 2022-23. Eight years is a long time to dedicate to a sport, so she must be passionate about it.
It seems she was working alongside head coach K.J. Kindler. From what I gathered, they were a pretty successful team. The Sooners are a big name in college gymnastics, so being a coach there is a significant achievement. I did a bit more scrolling through some old gymnastics articles, and it seems like Ashley had a real impact on the team.
It’s crazy how one person can be connected to two totally different sports worlds in Oklahoma. I spent hours just reading about the Thunder, then switching gears and diving into the world of college gymnastics. It’s pretty cool to see how Ashley’s involved in both. I’m sure she’s got some interesting stories to tell!
Anyway, that’s my little deep dive into Ashley Kerr and her Oklahoma connections. Just a little something I stumbled upon and thought was worth sharing. It’s always fun to learn something new, right? Catch you guys later!
