Okay, so, about this Ethan Salas, I heard the name on the net the other day. He’s some hotshot baseball player, right? I did some digging and found out the dude’s only 17. 17! Can you believe it? When I was 17, I was probably just trying to sneak into R-rated movies, and this kid’s already rubbing shoulders with the pros.
So I started looking into his background. Turns out, he’s playing in the San Diego Padres organization. Now, I’m no baseball expert, but even I know that’s a big deal. Then I dug a little deeper and saw that this guy, Ethan, made his MLB debut during spring training when he was just 16. 16 years old! Most 16-year-olds are what, sophomores or juniors in high school? This kid’s out there playing with the big boys.
I found this quote from him where he was talking about his goals for his first big-league camp. He said it was a “learning experience” and that it was “really cool” to be a part of it all. Kid’s got a good head on his shoulders. He said it was a little exciting, but he wanted to just have fun with it. Gotta admire that, right? Not getting too big for his britches.
And get this, the guy was born in 2006. 2006! I did the math, and yeah, that makes him 17 now. It’s crazy to think about. While most of his peers are probably stressing about their senior year of high school, prom, college apps, and whatnot, this Salas guy is living the dream.
I went and searched more about him since I’m not into sports myself. This Ethan, is an American-born Venezuelan. He was born in Florida. Then I checked the top prospects, and guess who is on the list? Ethan. I guess everyone in the baseball scene is looking forward to his career.
So yeah, that’s my little deep dive into Ethan Salas. Pretty impressive for a 17-year-old, wouldn’t you say? It’ll be interesting to see where he goes from here. I might even start following baseball because of him.
