Okay, so I’ve been grinding away at MLB The Show 23, and I wanted to share my experience with the June Monthly Awards program. It’s been a wild ride, to say the least!
Getting Started
First off, I jumped into Diamond Dynasty mode. This is where all the action is for the Monthly Awards. When I first started, I was like a kid in a candy store, so many options, so many players to unlock. But I knew I had to focus on the June program to get those sweet, sweet rewards.
The Grind
I started knocking out the Moments. These are basically little scenarios or challenges based on real-life performances from June. Some of them were pretty easy. Others, not so much. I remember this one Moment where I had to hit a home run with a specific player, and I swear it took me like a million tries. I kept fouling or striking out. It drove me crazy. I almost threw my controller at the wall, but I kept at it. I shouted at the screen, “Come on, man! Hit it!” Finally, I nailed it and felt like a champion.
- Moments: These are key to earning Program Stars.
- Missions: Completing these gives you a ton of progress.
- PXP Missions: Using Monthly Awards players in games earns you PXP.
The Missions
After the Moments, I started working on the Missions. These tasks involved playing games and earning PXP with Monthly Awards players. This part was a bit of a slog, I won’t lie. I had to play a bunch of games with these specific players, and sometimes it felt like it was never-ending. But I kept telling myself, “It’ll be worth it, it’ll be worth it.”
I had to play a lot of games. Like, a lot. I used my June Monthly Awards players as much as possible. It didn’t matter if it was Ranked Seasons, Events, or even Play vs CPU. I just needed those PXP. Sometimes my team was not the best, but hey, I was doing it for the rewards.
The Rewards
And you know what? It was worth it. As I progressed through the program, I started unlocking some awesome player cards. Some of them were pretty good, and they helped me improve my team. By the end, I had a whole lineup of these guys, and my team was looking pretty solid.
Here’s a little list of what I remember snagging:
- Some decent pitchers.
- A few power hitters.
- And a couple of speedy outfielders.
Wrapping Up
So, that’s my journey through the June Monthly Awards program in MLB The Show 23. It was a grind, for sure, but I had fun doing it. I love baseball, and this game lets me live out my baseball fantasies. If you’re playing the game, I highly recommend giving this program a shot. Just be prepared to put in the work! It took a lot of time, but it was worth it in the end. I got some great players, and I had a blast playing. I even shouted at the screen a few times, but that’s part of the fun, right?
And hey, if you see me in Diamond Dynasty, be sure to say hi. I’m always up for a game, especially if you wanna put your own newly unlocked players to the test!
