Okay, so, I was trying to figure out who’s gonna be playing for Utah State’s football team this coming season. You know, like, who’s starting, who’s backing up, the whole deal. It’s called the depth chart. I figured, hey, I need to get organized and actually write this stuff down so I don’t forget.
First thing I did was check out a few websites that usually have this kind of info. I just searched for “Utah State Aggies Football Depth Chart” to see what was up. One of the first results was about the “Utah State Aggies Football Depth Chart for College Football 2024-25,” which was exactly what I was looking for, and it had the offensive and defensive positions listed. Perfect!
Then I noticed another result that said, “Get a complete list of the 2024 Utah State Aggies Football depth chart and roster.” That sounded promising, because I wanted the whole roster, not just the starters. It was useful since it mentioned starters and backups.
I also saw one that talked about the “College Football Network” having everything about Utah State football. It mentioned news, schedules, injuries, roster updates, and depth charts. So, that’s like a one-stop shop for all things Utah State football, making it a great resource.
There was also another result that was specifically about an upcoming game against Utah State. It said, “In advance of Saturday’s matchup vs Utah State, here is the updated depth chart released by the school.” So, the schools themselves release these depth charts, which is pretty cool, and you can find the most up-to-date one before a game, which is super helpful.
Finally, I saw one that said, “Find every projected starter on the Utah State Aggies Depth Chart including offense, defense.” That was good because it confirmed that I could find all the starters, not just for one side of the ball, but for both offense and defense.
My Process
I started with the offense. I went to one of these sites and started jotting down the names of the guys listed as starters.
- Quarterback: Okay, so the main guy, the quarterback, is this dude. I wrote down his name.
- Running Back: Next up was the running back. Found his name, wrote it down.
- Wide Receivers: Then there are the wide receivers, usually two or three of them. Got those names.
- Tight End: Sometimes they have a tight end, sometimes not. If there was one listed, I wrote that down too.
- Offensive Line: These are the big guys up front – left tackle, left guard, center, right guard, right tackle. Wrote down all those names.
Then, I did the same thing for the defense.
- Defensive Line: These are the guys opposite the offensive line. Defensive ends, defensive tackles. Got those names.
- Linebackers: These guys are behind the defensive line. Usually a middle linebacker and a couple of outside linebackers. Wrote ’em down.
- Cornerbacks: These guys cover the wide receivers. Usually two of them. Got their names.
- Safeties: These are the last line of defense. Usually two of them as well. Wrote down their names.
After I had the starters, I went back and filled in the backups, the guys who would come in if someone got hurt or needed a break. I basically repeated the process for each position, writing down the second-string, and sometimes even the third-string, players.
Finally, I had this whole list of names, organized by position and whether they were starters or backups. It wasn’t too hard, just took a little time and clicking around. Now I have a pretty good idea of who’s gonna be playing for Utah State this year. I’m not saying it’s perfect, things can change, guys can get injured or whatever, but it’s a good starting point. Go Aggies!
