So, I’ve always been a huge fan of baseball. I mean, who doesn’t love the crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, and the smell of hot dogs in the air? I’ve been wanting to create a map of all the Major League Baseball parks for a while now. It’s one of those things that’s been on my to-do list forever, and I finally decided to just do it.
I started by gathering information about each park. I dug around online, trying to find details about each stadium. It was cool to see that Dodger Stadium can hold the most fans. That place must be insane during a big game! And I learned a bit about the playing field itself, you know, the infield and outfield. The infield has some really specific dimensions because of where the bases are.
Next, I started putting the map together. I wanted it to be something that other baseball fans could use to plan their own trips to different ballparks. So I found a simple map of the US and started marking where each stadium is located. This part took a while, but it was fun to see it all come together.
- First, I made a list of all 30 MLB teams.
- Then, I found the location of each team’s home stadium.
- I used a basic US map and marked each stadium with a little baseball icon.
I also thought it would be cool to add some extra info to the map. For example, I made notes about which stadiums have the best seats, or where you can find the best food. You know, the important stuff! I spent a lot of time looking at reviews and forums to find these little tidbits.
After I finished, I felt pretty good about what I had created. It’s not perfect, but it’s a solid map that any baseball fan can appreciate. I even shared it on social media with the tags #MLB and #StadiumMap. I hope other people find it useful and maybe even get inspired to visit some new ballparks.
This whole project was a blast. It combined my love for baseball with my interest in making things. Plus, I learned a lot along the way. For instance, did you know that the dimensions of the infield are super rigid because of the bases? It’s those little details that make baseball so interesting. Anyway, I’m stoked with how the map turned out, and I’m already thinking about what I can map out next!
