Okay, so I was browsing Reddit the other day, as one does, and I stumbled upon this question that really got me thinking: “Is Anthpo bisexual?” I mean, I follow Anthpo, but I never really thought about his sexuality before. So, naturally, I went down a rabbit hole.
First, I started with a basic Google search. I typed in “Anthpo,” and, of course, his YouTube channel and some basic info popped up. His real name is Anthony Potero, he was born in 2001, making him 23. All pretty standard stuff. No mention of his sexuality, though.
Next, I went to Reddit. I found a few threads, but nothing concrete. There was a subreddit called r/BisexualTeens with some discussions, but it was mostly speculation and memes. No definitive answer there. The most relevant information I found was in the r/Anthpo subreddit. It is just a post saying that he graduated and had a quote from his latest video but the guy forgot the quote. It seems not that helpful to figure out whether he is bisexual.
Then, I remembered that DeviantArt is a place where people often share flags and stuff about sexuality. So I searched “anthrosexual flag” there and found a flag created by a user named SaffronMasalatheki in 2018. The flag has three stripes, and apparently, the blue/green one represents attraction to… well, it wasn’t clear, but it had something to do with “anthro-,” which I learned is a form of “anthropo-” meaning human or humanoid. This didn’t give me any concrete info about Anthpo specifically, but it was interesting nonetheless.
I also came across an article talking about how some psychologist believes that strictly straight people don’t exist and that we’re all bisexual to some degree. Interesting thought, but again, not specific to Anthpo.
After a few hours of digging, I realized I was no closer to a definitive answer. There’s really no public information about Anthpo’s sexuality. And you know what? It’s totally fine! It’s his personal life, and whether he’s bisexual, straight, or anything else, it’s really none of our business.
This whole experience did get me thinking about how we, as a society, are so curious about other people’s sexuality. Maybe it’s just human nature. But in the end, I realized that it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that Anthpo keeps making content that his fans enjoy, and that he’s happy and healthy.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of online speculation. I didn’t find the answer I was initially looking for, but I learned a few things along the way and got to reflect a bit on our fascination with other people’s personal lives.
