Okay, so, I’m a huge WWE fan, and one of my all-time favorite wrestlers is Randy Orton. That guy is just pure awesome, right? The way he moves, his attitude, his finishing move – the RKO – it’s all so slick. But you know what really gets me pumped? His entrance music. I started hunting around to learn more about this killer track.
First thing I did was hit up Google to see who wrote it. Turns out, it’s a band called Rev Theory, and the song is called “Voices.” Apparently, they wrote it just for Randy. How cool is that? I mean, it fits him perfectly. That heavy guitar riff, the intense vocals, it’s like they bottled up all of Randy’s dark energy and turned it into a song. I started looking for the lyrics, but all I needed was the first line to get me going. I can’t help but sing along whenever I hear it.
Then, I wanted to see if there were any other versions of the song out there. I went to some audio archive sites and started browsing. I found a bunch of old WWE entrance themes, which was a nice trip down memory lane. I even stumbled upon an old Randy Orton theme called “Burn In My Light”. This is what he used way back before “Voices.” It’s alright, but it doesn’t have the same punch as “Voices,” you know?
Finding the Perfect Theme
- Searched for the band and song title: I began by finding out who wrote the song.
- Listened to different versions: Then, I listened to it a ton of times, just to really appreciate it.
- Compared it to his old theme: I also checked out his old theme song to see how it compared.
Then I thought I’d read what other fans think about the song. So I went on some wrestling forums and fan pages. I found some fans who said they didn’t love “Voices”. Can you believe that? It’s such an iconic theme song, and it’s been around since 2008! I also discovered some information about a potential new theme song for Randy. According to an article on the internet, Randy himself said he wasn’t a huge fan of “Voices” and that they were working on something new. That’s a bummer, but I’m curious to see what they come up with. I mean, most of the classic WWE themes were made by this guy Jim Johnston back in the day. But recently, it seems like they’ve been using other people, like John Alicastro and Mike Lauri. I also found some posts that said Randy didn’t have a special theme song when he was part of Evolution early in his career. He only started using a unique theme after he left the group.
Anyway, I spent hours going down this rabbit hole, listening to “Voices” on repeat, reading articles, and getting lost in fan discussions. It was a blast! Randy Orton’s theme song is just one of those things that gets you hyped up and ready to go. And now, whenever I hear it, I’ll know a little bit more about its history and how it came to be. And hey, maybe I’ll even download it and add it to my workout playlist. It’s definitely got that energy, right?
