Alright, so I’ve been digging into this whole Islam Makhachev and PEDs thing, and it’s a bit of a rabbit hole. I started out just wanting to know if the guy’s using anything he shouldn’t be, you know? Basic stuff.
First, I spent some time looking up who this Makhachev guy is. Turns out, he’s some kind of UFC lightweight champion and he’s been killing it lately. Even though I watched some videos of his fights. Seems like he and this other fighter, Khabib Nurmagomedov, are tight. They’re always training together and stuff.
Then I went back to the PEDs. I found out that Makhachev actually failed a drug test once. Something about some substance he tested positive for back in 2022. I tried to find out what the substance was, but all I got was more questions. What kind of substance are we talking about? Why would he use it? Is it serious stuff? Did it give him some crazy advantage, or was it just something minor?
After that, I tried to figure out what happened after he failed the test. Did he get suspended? Fined? Did they take away his title? So many questions, so few answers. The more I searched, the less I felt like I knew. It was like the info was there, but it was all jumbled up and hard to piece together.
So, I ended up looking at some other stuff about Makhachev, like how he wants to be a champion in different weight classes. But it seems like that might make him fight his buddy, Belal Muhammad, and Khabib doesn’t like that idea. Friendship over glory, I guess. It’s kind of a mess, honestly.
My Thoughts
- Confusion: It is not clear why Makhachev use PEDs.
- Research: I found out that he failed the drug test in 2022.
- Conclusion: He seems a great fighter and does not need PEDs.
- Reflection: Maybe it’s just one of those things where the truth is somewhere in the middle.
Anyway, that’s where I’m at with this whole thing. It’s been an interesting ride, but I still don’t really know what to think about Makhachev and PEDs. Maybe I’ll dig more into it later, or maybe I’ll just leave it alone. Who knows?
