Well, let me tell you a thing or two about Jacoby Jones. Now, you might be wonderin’ where that fella went to college, right? Well, I got it all sorted out for ya. Jacoby Jones, he started out at Southeastern Louisiana University, y’know, down in the southern part of the country. But that wasn’t where he finished up his college days. Nah, he didn’t stay there long. After a while, he packed his bags and made his way to Lane College, over in Tennessee. That’s where he really made a name for himself, playin’ three whole seasons as a return specialist.
You see, Jacoby wasn’t just any college player, no sir. He played them last years with the Lane College Dragons, and let me tell ya, he wasn’t no dragon slayer or nothin’, but he sure was fast like one. He played hard, and before long, the big boys in the NFL noticed him. Yup, he got drafted in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. Ain’t that somethin’?
Now, don’t think Jacoby stayed all big-time like some other players. After his years in the NFL, he didn’t forget where he came from. He ended up helpin’ out in coaching at places like Morgan State University in Baltimore, and he also worked with some younger fellas over at Calvert Hall College High. Just goes to show, he had a heart for the game and for teachin’ others what he knew.
Sadly, not too long ago, Jacoby passed away. Yep, the news was all over, and folks were heartbroken. The cause of his death is still under investigation, and while they figure that out, all of us remember him for his days on the field, playin’ his heart out. He’ll always be known for them big plays in the NFL, and of course, his time at Lane College was a big part of his story.
So, to wrap it all up:
- Jacoby Jones started at Southeastern Louisiana University.
- He transferred to Lane College where he spent three seasons.
- His hard work at Lane College got him noticed by the Houston Texans, and he made it to the NFL.
- After retirin’, he did some coaching to help out the next generation.
All in all, Jacoby was a man who worked hard, moved around, and made a name for himself. And even though he’s gone now, he’ll always be remembered for where he came from and the big plays he made in his life.
