Today I want to talk about what I did with the Lions. You know, that football team. They’ve been around for a while, and they’ve had their ups and downs. They’ve got a record of 606 wins, 709 losses, and 34 ties. Not too shabby, but there’s always room to make things better.
So, first off, I got my hands on some info about who’s running the show. Turns out, it’s Sheila Ford Hamp. She’s 72 and one of the kids of William Clay Ford Sr. and Martha Firestone Ford. Family business, you know? She’s got three sons and lives in Ann Arbor with her husband.
Then, I started looking at the team’s roster moves. They activated a couple of guys from the injured list – WR Kalif Raymond and LB Alex Anzalone. That’s good news. Getting healthy players back is always a plus. They also signed DB Morice Norris to the main team from the practice squad and brought in WR Tom Kennedy for the practice squad. And, unfortunately, they put CB Emmanuel Moseley on the non-football illness list.
Next, I dove into some rumors about them bringing back a familiar face. I read a report from some NFL insider named Aaron Wilson. It sounds like they’re trying to fill some gaps because of injuries, especially on defense and special teams.
- I also noticed they signed a tight end, Shane Zylstra, to fill a new spot.
Details
- I took a look at their recent loss to the Buffalo Bills, 48-42.
- I found out they signed DL Chris Smith and LB Abraham Beauplan to the main roster.
Heard they might need some fresh blood on special teams, though. They’ve lost more than they gained in that area this offseason. It is what it is.
Oh, and I also stumbled upon some news about Ken Owens captaining a British & Irish Lions team with a bunch of new guys against the Auckland Blues. Different sport, but still interesting.
So, that’s what I’ve been up to with the Lions. Just digging around, checking out their moves, and seeing what’s what. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, but that’s how it goes sometimes, right?
They have clinched a playoff berth and will be either the No. 1 seed in the NFC or the No. 5 seed. Depends on whether they can stave off competition from the Vikings.
