Okay, so, today I wanna talk about something I’ve been digging into lately – the Cincinnati Bearcats football depth chart. You know, trying to figure out who’s gonna be playing where and all that good stuff. It’s like putting together a puzzle, except the pieces are big guys who can run really fast.
So, first off, I started by just, like, Googling around. You know, the usual. Typed in “Cincinnati Bearcats football depth chart” and a bunch of stuff came up. Some of it was old, from last year, but I found some recent articles and stuff talking about the 2024-25 season. That’s what I was looking for. These articles were throwing around a ton of names, like Jones, Emory, Boone, Mike, Scott, Tyler, and Briggs. It’s a lot to take in at first, you know?
Then, I started looking at the different positions. Like, who’s gonna be the quarterback? That Jones guy seems to be the first choice, which is what they call the “PS – 1st”. And then for running back, it looks like this Boone guy is in the second string, labeled as “RB – 2nd.” They also had receivers listed, with a guy named Scott listed as the second choice for two receiver spots, shown as “KR – 2nd” and “RWR – 2nd”. I was writing all this down, trying to make sense of it.
After that, I went to other websites, trying to see if everyone was saying the same thing. You know how it is, sometimes one site will say one thing, and another site will say something totally different. But for the most part, it seemed like people were agreeing on who the main players were gonna be.
I also looked at some news articles about the team. They had all sorts of info, like the schedule, scores from past games, and even some expert analysis. This helped me get a better feel for the team and how they might do this season. It’s all part of the process, right? Trying to get the full picture.
Putting It All Together
So, after spending a few hours on this, I started putting together my own little depth chart. I made a list of all the offensive positions – quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and so on. Then I did the same for the defensive positions.
Under each position, I wrote down the names of the players, starting with the guys who are most likely to start. Then I added the backups, and the backups to the backups. It’s like a big list, but it helps me keep track of everyone.
Here’s a simplified example of what I was making, just to give you an idea:
- Offense
- Quarterback:
- Jones, Emory (PS – 1st)
- Running Back:
- Boone, Mike (RB – 2nd)
- Wide Receiver:
- Scott, Tyler (KR – 2nd, RWR – 2nd)
- Quarterback:
It’s not perfect, and things can always change, especially with injuries and stuff. But it gives me a pretty good idea of what the team might look like next season. And it’s kinda fun, you know? Like being a coach, but without all the pressure. Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to. Thought I’d share my little project with you all. Maybe you’ll find it interesting, or maybe it’ll just make you appreciate how much work goes into figuring this stuff out. Either way, it’s all good!
