Today, I got a hot tip about a limited edition Nike Jon Jones shirt. I have got to try to get my hands on one!
Searching for the Shirt
First, I opened up my browser and typed in “Nike Jon Jones shirt”. There are not so many results. It seems like it is not an easy task.
I saw some hits for the UFC Store, so I started there. Browsed through their Jon Jones section. They have some official apparel, but not the specific shirt I am looking for.
Also looked at the assortment at another UFC Store, but still no luck.
Digging Deeper
I remembered reading somewhere that the shirt was called “Bones Knows”. Found an old tweet from Jon Jones himself showing it off. This could be a tough find. It is from way back in 2012, around UFC 152.
I checked out a few other sports apparel sites, but they only had general UFC gear, nothing specific to Jon Jones. This shirt is turning out to be pretty rare!
Considering Other Options
I thought about looking for other Jon Jones merchandise. The UFC Store does have a decent selection of T-shirts and other stuff. Might have to settle for something else if I cannot find that shirt.
- Tried searching by tags like “Jon Jones” and “The Jones Group” but still no luck with the shirt.
- Thought about how Jones has had deals with Nike and Gatorade, maybe there is a connection?
Reflecting on Jon Jones’ Career
While searching, I did some reading about Jon Jones’ career. He started his professional MMA debut back in 2008. And he is still active today! He is so cool and I have been a huge fan for years!
I also saw some news about his personal life, like a tweet in 2022 about his fiancée leaving him. That is too bad.
And then I found out Nike even released a signature shoe inspired by him! It is crazy!
Giving Up for Now
After hours of searching, I still have not found that limited edition Nike Jon Jones “Bones Knows” shirt. I guess it is just too rare or too old to find online. I am a little bit disappointed but I have decided to give up for now.
Maybe I will have better luck searching in person at some sports memorabilia shops. Or maybe I will just have to keep an eye out online in case one pops up for sale.
But for today, I will just have to appreciate my other Jon Jones gear. At least I have got some cool UFC shirts to wear while I watch his fights!
