Okay, so today I’m gonna talk about this guy, Lee Trevino. I got interested in him after seeing some stuff online. I saw this video of him talking about golf, and it was just so cool. I had to know more about this dude.
First, I went and watched this video. They called it “TREVINO,” and it seemed like a big deal, made with Rolex or something. Anyway, it was all about Lee Trevino’s life, and man, it was a wild ride.
After that, I wanted to know more about what he had to say himself. So I looked up his page online, to find more about his thoughts. I found out that he had written some stuff, although the video was mostly about his life story.
Then I dug into his career. I looked up all his movies and TV shows. I didn’t even know he was in movies! He seemed to be everywhere, and the TV Guide stuff was interesting too.
I then found this other long video about his life. It talked about him growing up poor, how he got into golf, and even about his time in the Marines. This guy’s life was like a movie itself!
I also found his official golf stats online. It was crazy to see all his wins and scores. This guy was a legend!
But what got me really hooked was learning about his injuries. I mean, he got hit by lightning! Can you believe that? It messed up his arm and back, and he had to have surgery and stuff. He even had more back problems later on, which made it hard for him to play. This guy was tough.
Then I looked at his whole career record. The guy won 29 times on the PGA Tour, and six of those were major championships. He was a big deal in the early 70s, even going up against Jack Nicklaus. He won tons of money in 1970, had six wins in 1971, and four in 1972.
Here’s a breakdown of some of his big wins:
- U.S. Open: 1968, 1971
- British Open: 1971, 1972
- PGA Championship: 1974, 1984
In total, he won 75 tournaments. This guy was just amazing. That’s pretty much what I did to learn about Lee Trevino. He’s a real inspiration, and his story is just * you guys found this interesting!
