Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another project. Today, I’m diving into the world of Mets City Connect hats. I’ve been seeing these things pop up everywhere, and being the massive Mets fan that I am, I knew I had to get my hands on one and see what the buzz is about.

So, first things first, I started doing some digging online to understand what these City Connect hats are all about. I learned that the design is pretty unique. The black pinstripes are supposed to represent the subway lines, you know, the local and express ones. That’s pretty neat if you ask me. And that circular patch on the arm? It’s a nod to the old-school New York subway tokens. They really thought of everything with this design.

After getting a feel for the design, I started hunting for where to buy one. I checked out the usual spots like the official MLB online store. They had a bunch of City Connect gear, not just the hats. I saw some cool jerseys too, but I was on a mission for a hat.

I found a few different styles. There’s this one called the 9TWENTY Adjustable Hat from New Era, which is supposed to be a relaxed fit. I like my hats a bit more fitted, so I kept looking. Then I stumbled upon the 39THIRTY Flex Hat, also from New Era. It’s got a comfortable design, but I’m a sucker for the classic fitted look.

Finally, I found what I was looking for – the 2023 City Connect 59FIFTY Fitted Cap. This is the real deal, the one that’s inspired by the unique parts of the city. I even saw a team-issued one, size 7 3/8, that was apparently collected after the 2024 season. That’s some collector’s item right there.

After snagging one online, the waiting game began. It felt like forever, but finally, the package arrived. I ripped that thing open like a kid on Christmas morning. The hat was even better in person. The details were crisp, the colors were vibrant, and it just screamed “Mets”.

I’ve been rocking this hat everywhere now. To the games, out with friends, even just running errands. It’s a conversation starter, for sure. People are always asking me about it, and I’m more than happy to share the story behind the design and my love for the Mets.

So, if you’re a Mets fan or just someone who appreciates a cool, well-designed hat, I highly recommend checking out these City Connect hats. They’re a great way to show your team pride and rep your city at the same time.

Alright, that’s it for this project. Stay tuned for more adventures, and as always, Let’s go Mets!
