Well, today I want to share my experience with predicting Belinda Bencic’s matches. It all started when I was browsing through the schedule for the 2025 United Cup in Sydney. I saw that Belinda Bencic of Switzerland was set to play Jasmine Paolini of Italy in the women’s singles match in Group D on Sunday.
So, I started digging deeper.
- First, I checked out some previous matches. Turns out, Belinda had been doing great in Angers, breezing through three rounds without dropping a set. That got me thinking she was in good form.
- Then, I stumbled upon a match where she was facing Oceane Dodin in the quarterfinals. The interesting part was that the Swiss player had won their only previous encounter. This added to my confidence in Belinda’s chances.
- Next, I saw that Belinda was playing against Alycia Parks in the final of the 2024 WTA Angers 125K tournament. This match was scheduled for Sunday, December 8, 2024. That was a big one, and I was eager to see how it would turn out.
Doing some research
I also did a bit of reading about Belinda’s personal life. It seems like she’s been on a break since September 2023, after playing in San Diego. I found out she got pregnant and is now happily living with her husband and their little Bella. It’s a big change for her, but she’s still been hitting balls with her husband and fitness coach, Martin Hromkovic. Life’s definitely different now with another member in the family, baby Bella, often seen wrapped in a baby sling across Martin’s chest.
Reflecting
Putting all this together, I felt pretty good about predicting Belinda’s performance. She’s been playing well, has a good track record, and seems to be in a positive place in her life. Of course, anything can happen in sports, but based on what I’ve gathered, I’d say she’s one to watch. I followed her matches closely and kept these notes to see how my predictions held up. And you know what? It’s been a fun ride keeping track of her journey, both on and off the court.
