So, I’ve been messing around with this FIFA game again, and you know how it is with these sports games – always trying to get that edge, right? Well, I got hooked on this whole “pace sign in” thing and wanted to share my little experiment.
First off, I started digging into what this “pace” stat actually means. Turns out, it’s basically how fast a player can run in the game – makes sense. But then I stumbled upon some forum posts where folks were saying that the pace stat might have been tweaked in some update. That got me thinking, could I actually test this out myself?
Testing the Pace
Here’s what I did: I fired up an older version of FIFA, you know, one without all the fancy updates. My thinking was, if the pace was changed, I should see a difference between the old and new versions.
- Step 1: Picked out a few players known for their speed. I wanted to have a good baseline.
- Step 2: Timed them running across the field. Yeah, it was a bit tedious, but I wanted to get some hard numbers. I did this in both the old and new versions of the game.
- Step 3: Compared the times. This is where it got interesting. There were some differences, not huge, but noticeable. It did seem like the players were a tad slower in the newer version.
Now, I’m no game developer, so I can’t say for sure what’s going on under the hood. But, It got me thinking about how they calculate this stuff. I read that EA has some formula they use, based on real-life player performance. Sounds complicated!
AcceleRATE, What’s That?
And then there’s this new thing called “AcceleRATE” in FIFA 23. From what I gather, it messes with the running styles of players, so just looking at the pace stat isn’t the whole story anymore.
Honestly, I just wanted to see if I could boost my players’ pace. There are guides out there on how to level up your pro player fast, going from, like, 80 to 90 and above. My goal was to get the fastest team possible, whether I’m playing career mode, ultimate team, or even that new VOLTA mode.
At the end of the day, I realized that speed is just one piece of the puzzle. There are other stats like power, passing, and dribbling that are super important too. It’s all about finding that balance, I guess.
So yeah, that was my little deep dive into the world of FIFA pace. It might not make me a pro gamer overnight, but it was a fun little experiment. Maybe it’ll give you something to think about next time you’re on the virtual pitch!
