Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this Ghost Spider S putter for a bit now, and I gotta say, it’s been a pretty interesting ride.
First off, I saw this thing online and thought, “Hey, that looks kinda cool.” The whole idea behind it is to have more weight pushed out to the sides and back, which, in theory, should make it more stable. And you know what? That got me curious. I’m always looking for something to help me sink more putts.
So, I went to my local golf shop to find it, the guys there let me try out a bunch of putters, and I kept coming back to this Ghost Spider S. It just felt right, you know? It was easy to line up, and I felt like I could really control where the ball was going.
After that I decided to take the plunge and bought one. The first time I took it out on the course, I was feeling pretty good. It was like I could just point the thing and the ball would go where I wanted. I was sinking putts I normally wouldn’t even dream of making. I was on fire!
But then, as it usually happens, the honeymoon phase wore off. I started noticing some things. Like, it wasn’t quite as magical as it felt that first day. I started missing some putts, and I wasn’t always sure why. It’s not like the putter suddenly became bad, it just… wasn’t perfect.
I’ve been playing with it for a few months now, and I think I’ve got a better handle on it. It’s definitely a good putter, I’ll give it that. It’s helped me improve my putting, and I’m definitely more consistent than I used to be. But it’s not a miracle worker. I still need to practice, and I still need to read the greens properly.
- It’s stable. Like, really stable. That weight distribution thing they talk about? It’s real.
- It’s easy to line up. I don’t know what it is about the design, but it just works for me.
- It’s not a magic wand. You still gotta put in the work.
Here’s the deal:
So, would I recommend the Ghost Spider S? Yeah, I think I would. It’s a solid putter, and it might be just what you need to improve your game. Just don’t expect it to make you a putting god overnight.
At the end of the day, it’s all about finding what works for you. And for me, right now, the Ghost Spider S is working pretty darn well.
