Today, I wanted to talk about something that gave me a real headache in Elden Ring – the Valiant Gargoyle. Man, this thing was tough, but I finally figured out how to beat it. I tried so many times, and it kept messing me up.
At first, I went in there with my usual sword, swinging away. But this dude’s tough, like really tough. It took forever to even scratch him. I got stomped, like, a lot. I started to think, “There’s gotta be a better way, right?” So I started digging around.
Experiment
I found out this gargoyle dude’s got some weaknesses, which is great news for us. Turns out, he’s not a big fan of fire, lightning, or holy attacks. Also magic is a good way to attack it, especially strike weapon. So, what did I do? I went back to my stash and looked for anything that could do that kind of damage.
- First, I tried imbuing my weapons. I grabbed some fire grease and slapped it on my sword. It helped a bit, but not as much as I hoped.
- Then I remembered I had some lightning pots. I started chucking those, and boom! It did way more damage.
- I also had some holy water pots, but I saved those for when I really needed them.
After experimenting some more, I realized that magic, in general, works pretty well on this guy. I’m not much of a mage, but I had a few sorceries and incantations lying around. I started using those, and it was like night and day. The damage was way better than just using my regular weapon. I tried to hit it with my magic. Each time, I saw its health drop a little more. I kept moving, trying not to get hit, and kept using the magic. Slowly, it started to get weaker.
Finally beat it!
I also figured out that strike weapons, you know, like hammers and stuff, do a good job on him. I switched to a hammer I had, and it made a big difference. The fight was still tough, but now I felt like I was actually doing something. I just kept at it, using my fire, lightning, and holy stuff, and smacking him with my hammer. Finally, after a bunch of tries, I beat him! It felt amazing, like a huge weight off my shoulders. I was so happy and relieved that I finally defeated it.
So, yeah, that’s how I took down the Valiant Gargoyle. It wasn’t easy, but I learned a lot. If you’re stuck on this boss, try using fire, lightning, holy attacks, or magic. And don’t forget about strike weapons! Hope this helps you out. Good luck, and happy gaming!
