Okay, so, let’s talk about Andy Reid and his Super Bowl wins. This guy’s been around the block, you know? Started way back in ’92 with the Packers, not as a head coach, but working with the offensive line and tight ends. Worked his way up to quarterbacks coach. That’s where it all began.
Now, fast forward to his head coaching career. He spent a good chunk of time with the Philadelphia Eagles, from ’99 to 2012. Did pretty well there, won 130 regular season games, which is the most in the team’s history, and even 10 playoff games. No Super Bowl wins with the Eagles, though. He got close, lost to the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX, 24-21. That had to hurt.
Then comes the Kansas City Chiefs. He’s been there since 2013, and this is where the magic happened. He’s got three Super Bowl titles with them. I mean, think about it, winning 100 games with two different teams, that is crazy!
- Super Bowl titles with the Chiefs
- 100+ wins with both the Eagles and the Chiefs
- Five conference championships
Overall, as of today, September 2024, the guy’s got four Super Bowl rings. Three as a head coach and one as an assistant coach back with the Packers. In 25 seasons as a head coach, he won 258 games in total. He’s got a bunch of division titles too, like 14 of them. And 18 seasons where his team won at least 10 games. I mean you can not ignore him, right?
Honestly, I was curious to see what all the fuss was about, so I dug around a bit. Found out that he’s the only head coach to win 100 games with two different franchises. That’s pretty impressive, even if you’re not a huge football fan. And get this, he’s fourth in NFL history for total wins, and second for postseason wins. Not too shabby, huh? I just wanted to share this with you all, it’s something really amazing in NFL history.
