Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another little project I tackled. So, I heard about this Luke Kennard Basketball Camp 2024 thing, and I gotta say, I was curious. I mean, the guy’s a solid NBA player, currently with the Memphis Grizzlies, right? I figured, why not see what this camp’s all about?
First thing I did was try to find some solid info about the camp. When was it? Where was it? Who’s it for? I dug around, but honestly, it wasn’t easy. I saw some stuff about a camp he did back in 2023, but nothing concrete for this year. Maybe it was my terrible googling skills, I dont’ know.
Anyway, I did find out that Kennard is a shooting guard, 6’5″ and all that, been in the NBA for like seven seasons. That’s cool, I guess. He played for Duke in college, so he’s got some serious credentials.
Digging for Details
I saw a mention somewhere that the previous camp was for kids entering 4th to 8th grade. That makes sense, targeting that age group where they’re really starting to get into the game. And apparently, it was held at Camp Chautauqua. Never heard of it, but hey, sounds like a legit place for a basketball camp.
There was also this tidbit about it being an overnight camp, with check-in from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. Price was $175, which isn’t too bad, I guess, for a camp run by an NBA player.
Social Media Trail
Then, I stumbled upon Kennard’s social media. There was a post from last year, where he was like, “LUKE KENNARD BASKETBALL CAMP IS BACK.” Got tons of likes and comments, so people are definitely into it.
What I Learned
- Luke Kennard is a pretty good player, that’s for sure.
- He seems to be really into this whole camp thing, giving back to the community and all that.
- Finding concrete details about this year’s camp was a pain, though. Maybe I need to up my internet detective game.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of Luke Kennard’s basketball camp. Even though I couldn’t find much about the 2024 edition, it was still interesting to learn about the guy and his involvement in the sport beyond the NBA court. Maybe next year I’ll have better luck and actually find some real info. Who knows, maybe I’ll even send my future kid there if he’s into basketball. Until then, I’ll just keep shooting hoops and pretending I’m as good as Kennard. Maybe one day, haha.
