Today, I want to share my experience with two football players, Etienne and Stevenson. I’m not a professional analyst or anything, just a regular guy who loves football and enjoys playing fantasy football with my buddies.
So, I’ve been using this “Who to Start” tool to help me decide who to put in my lineup each week. It’s pretty neat because it compares players and gives you advice based on projections and stuff. This week, I was really torn between Travis Etienne Jr. and Rhamondre Stevenson.
First, I looked up both players. This tool lets you compare up to four players at once, but I just needed to compare these two. I plugged in their names, and the tool started crunching the numbers. It showed me all sorts of stats, like their recent game performances, their overall season averages, and even their matchups for the week.
Etienne, who plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars, seemed like a solid choice. He’s a halfback, 5’10”, 215 lbs, and has an 82 overall rating in Madden NFL 25, whatever that means. I saw that he had a decent game recently, rushing 18 times for 55 yards and a touchdown. But then I read somewhere that there isn’t much reason to be confident in Etienne this week. That made me hesitate.
Then there’s Stevenson. The info I found mentioned that Bill O’Brien, the new offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots, likes to run the ball a lot. His teams ranked in the top 10 in run percentage four times when he was the head coach in Houston. That sounded promising for Stevenson, who is a running back for the Patriots. Someone online said Stevenson could be a mid to high-end RB2, even though this guy named Zeke might take some of his touchdowns.
I spent a good chunk of time going back and forth, looking at their stats and reading what different “experts” had to say. One site even had this thing called “H2H betting,” where you pick one player to finish ahead of another. I’m not into betting, but it was interesting to see how that worked.
After a lot of thinking, I decided to go with Stevenson. I know it’s a bit of a gamble, but I’m hoping that O’Brien’s run-heavy offense will work in his favor. Plus, even though Etienne had a good game last week, the doubts about him stuck with me.
- Searched for information on both players using the “Who to Start” tool.
- Compared their stats, recent performances, and weekly matchups.
- Considered expert opinions and online discussions about both players.
- Ultimately chose Stevenson based on the Patriots’ potential run-heavy offense and some doubts about Etienne.
I’ll let you all know how it goes after this week’s games. Fingers crossed!
