Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with my fantasy football lineup, and I’m stuck on this tight end situation. It’s down to George Kittle or Sam LaPorta, and man, it’s a tough call.
First, I looked at some projections, you know, those fancy numbers that are supposed to tell you who’s going to score more points. The word on the street is that Kittle‘s got a bit of an edge, but it’s not like LaPorta is a nobody. I mean, the guy’s been pretty solid, especially for a rookie.
Then I started digging into their past performances. I went back through game logs, checked out their stats, you name it. Kittle, we all know he’s a beast, missed a couple of games this season, but when he’s on the field, he’s a target hog. He can catch, he can block, he’s the whole package.
- Kittle: Proven track record, high ceiling, but that injury history does make me a little nervous.
- LaPorta: Rookie sensation, but will he keep up the pace? The talk around him is he’s not gonna repeat his rookie numbers.
I even checked out some “expert” advice. There’s this tool online, it gathers opinions from a bunch of fantasy football gurus. It’s pretty split on Kittle vs. LaPorta, which doesn’t really help my decision-making process. A lot of people are taking LaPorta early in drafts, like, really early, around pick 23.
I went down this rabbit hole of listening to podcasts. Found one where Kittle himself was talking about up-and-coming tight ends. And guess what? He was hyping up LaPorta, saying he’s the best tight end to come out of college in a while. That’s gotta count for something, right?
So, I’m still on the fence. Both of these guys have their pros and cons. I’m leaning towards Kittle just because of his experience and overall dominance when he’s healthy. But LaPorta is tempting, especially with all the buzz around him.
What I finally did?
I ended up flipping a coin. Heads for Kittle, tails for LaPorta. It landed on Kittle. So, I put Kittle in my lineup.
Is it the smartest way to make a decision? Probably not. But hey, it’s fantasy football. Sometimes you just gotta go with your gut, or in this case, a coin flip. I’ll keep an eye on both of them throughout the season, and who knows, maybe I’ll switch them around later on. We’ll see how it plays out!
