Alright, so a while back, I got really into this whole WWE thing, and there was this wrestler named Paige who caught my eye. I mean, she’s got this whole goth vibe going on, which is pretty cool, and she’s not your typical wrestler, you know? Anyway, I started digging around to learn more about her.
First off, I found out that her real name isn’t even Paige. It’s Saraya-Jade Bevis. Turns out, “Paige” is just her wrestling name. She used her real name Saraya when she joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Finding Her Real Story
- I started by watching a bunch of her old matches online. She’s got some serious skills, I gotta say. I mean, she became the youngest Divas Champion ever, which is insane!
- Then I stumbled upon this interview where she talked about how she got her name. Get this – her mom was, like, tripping on acid at a Slayer concert back in the day and thought she heard the name “Saraya.” And that’s how Paige got her real name! Isn’t that wild?
Digging Deeper
But it wasn’t all smooth sailing for her. Turns out, she had this nasty neck injury back in 2016 that almost ended her career. And to top it off, she was stuck in a bad relationship with some other wrestler. It sounded like a really tough time for her. I felt bad, you know, seeing someone go through all that.
Then I found out WWE just let her be an ambassador after she announced her retirement, which was cool of them. Although I’ve heard she’s wrestling again under the name Saraya, which is pretty exciting.
The Movie
Oh, and get this – they even made a movie about her life! It’s called “Fighting with My Family,” and it’s got Florence Pugh playing Paige. I watched it, and it was pretty good, although I’m sure it’s not exactly how everything went down in real life. But still, it was cool to see her story on the big screen.
So yeah, that’s my little deep dive into the world of Paige, or Saraya, or whatever you wanna call her. She’s had a crazy life, that’s for sure, but it seems like she’s doing alright now. And hey, who knew a Slayer concert and some acid could lead to someone becoming a wrestling star? Life’s weird, man.
