Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this whole Patrick Cantlay thing, right? This guy’s been a big name in golf, and I wanted to see what gear he’s using and how it’s been working out for him.
First off, I started looking into his choice of clubs. From what I gathered, the dude’s been loyal to Titleist for ages. And he keeps up with the latest stuff. This year, like a bunch of other pros, he’s got the Titleist GT drivers in his bag. I mean, makes sense, they are supposed to be pretty good.
Then I moved on to his putter. Turns out, he’s a Scotty Cameron guy. I saw he’s used a few different models, like the T-5 and some Newport prototype. He is good at putting. It is said that he is one of the most reliable players.
But here’s where it gets a bit more interesting. I checked out his driver specifically. It’s a Titleist TS3, and get this – he’s got it set to 8.75 degrees of loft, with a Mitsbushi Diamana ZF 60 TX shaft. I guess that’s his sweet spot or something.

I also found out that he and another player, Adam Scott, switched to the Titleist GT2 driver at the U.S. Open. That got me thinking, these guys are always tweaking their gear, trying to get that extra edge.
A Little More Digging
Now, while looking into all this, I realized Cantlay hasn’t actually won on the PGA Tour since August 2022. It got me thinking, even with all the fancy gear, winning isn’t guaranteed.
I also noticed that his bag is basically filled with Titleist stuff. I guess that’s part of his deal with them, makes sense from a business perspective. So, yeah, that’s pretty much what I’ve been up to – just a deep dive into Patrick Cantlay’s golf bag and what I found. It’s interesting to see how these top players approach their equipment choices, even if it doesn’t always lead to a win.
