So, I was digging into this whole Vince McMahon and NXT UK thing. You know, the whole buzz about whether the big boss man himself actually pays attention to what’s going down in the UK wrestling scene.
I started by looking up what happened after NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool. Apparently, that event was a pretty big deal. It seems like the British wrestling fans were making some serious noise, and word got back to Vince.
Then, I went down a rabbit hole of trying to figure out how much Vince actually watches NXT. I mean, it’s his company, but does he really tune in? There’s no real way to know for sure, but it’s fun to speculate, right?
I found some articles about Vince’s comments on the NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool pay-per-view. It was the first TakeOver for the UK brand, so naturally, everyone was hyped up. I guess it lived up to the expectations, which is cool.
I also read about how NXT UK had to pause things because of the COVID-19 pandemic back in 2020. They started up again in September of that year, broadcasting from the BT Sport studio. Things changed once again on August 18, 2022, but we won’t focus on that.

It was a wild ride of reading and researching, but it gave me a better picture of the whole situation. It’s interesting to see how much attention the UK scene gets from the top brass at WWE.
