Okay, so, I was messing around online, trying to find the NC State football team’s depth chart for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. You know, just seeing who’s gonna be playing where and all that. It’s always fun to see what the coaches are thinking before the season even starts. It looks like I’m a bit ahead of the curve, as the latest update I could find was from November 9th. They play on December 28th and I’m sure there will be more news then, and I’m pretty excited to know.
First things first, I started with my regular search engine, typing in “NC State football depth chart 2024.” That’s when I saw a couple of things pop up. There are some articles about players leaving, like Kevin Concepcion and Jalen Coit are gone, transfer portal and all. That’s a bummer, they were pretty good. I also saw that some players have moved positions or left the team.
Then I dug a little deeper, and I started seeing what people are guessing the depth chart will look like. For the quarterback, it seems like Grayson McCall is the guy, the starter. Behind him, we got a guy named CJ Bailey. I’ve seen McCall play a few times, and he’s solid. It’ll be interesting to see how he does this year. Some people were saying that there might be some surprises on the depth chart, but that’s all just talk for now.
I made a list of some of the key positions and who I think might be starting, based on what I read. Here’s a little sneak peek:
- Quarterback: Grayson McCall (Starter), CJ Bailey (Reserve)
- Running Back: This one’s a bit up in the air, no clear starter yet.
- Wide Receiver: With Concepcion and Coit gone, there are some big shoes to fill.
- Defense: I didn’t get too much into the defense yet, but I’ll check that out later.
Overall, it was kind of a fun little project. I like looking at these depth charts and trying to figure out what the coaches are planning. Of course, things can always change between now and the start of the season, but it’s still cool to make some predictions. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on any news about the team in the next few months to get ready for the season. It seems like there is a game on December 28th, so I’m hoping there will be more news around that time.
