When Did Green Bay Last Win That Big Game?
Well, let me tell ya, it weren’t yesterday. They was real good a while back. They won it, then they won it again! Two times in a row! Back when I was younger, a long, long time ago. Musta been, oh, 1967 and then 1968. They beat them Kansas City Chiefs one time, and the Oakland… somethin’s… Raiders, I think they called ’em. They were somethin’ else back in them days.
But you wanna know about the last time, right? Now that was more recent. Not yesterday, mind you, but not as far back as them other times. It was, let me see if I can remember… 2011! Yeah, that’s it, 2011. They was playin’ in that Super Bowl XLV. That’s what they called it. Fancy name, huh? They played them Pittsburgh Steelers. Tough team, them Steelers. Always have been, as I recall.
Green Bay Packers Got a Lotta Wins
Green Bay, they won that game, 31 to 25. It was a close one, I heard. I don’t watch them games much no more, my eyes ain’t what they used to be. But I hear about it. Everyone talks about it when Green Bay is in the big game. They got more of them championship things than any other team, ya know? Thirteen, I hear. That’s a lot of winnin’.
They won a bunch before that Super Bowl thing even started, too. Way back in 1929, they was champs. That was before my time, even! But I heard stories. My grandpa, he used to talk about it. He was a big fan. Said they was the best team there ever was, back then. It’s a good football team, I’ll tell you that. That Green Bay Packers, the team is good.

That trophy they get, the Lombardi trophy. They get a new one every time they win. It ain’t like that hockey thing. The Stanley Cup. That’s what they call it. Hockey, that’s a different sport. They just pass that one around. But that Super Bowl trophy, they get a brand new one every time. Shiny and new. Must be nice.
So, yeah, Green Bay Packers last won that big Super Bowl game in 2011. They beat them Steelers. It was a good game, I hear. They a good team. Always have been, for the most part. They done us proud. They win a lot, that’s for sure. Hope they win another one soon. Maybe next year. That’d be somethin’, wouldn’t it?
