That Tom Adrounie, he’s a golfer, you know. I seen him on the TV, swingin’ that stick. Looks kinda tough, but he seems to do alright. They say he’s from the United States. Big country, that is.
My grandson, he’s all into this golf stuff. He was yellin’ about Tom Adrounie the other day. Said he was playin’ in some big tournament. I don’t know nothin’ about tournaments. I just know it takes a lot of walkin’ around in the grass.

They got all sorts of stuff about him on that internet thing. News and videos and what not. Even that ESPN, that’s a big sports channel, they talk about him. So he must be doin’ somethin’ right. They say he is a professional golfer, whatever that means.
I seen him hittin’ that little white ball. Goes a long way, I tell ya. Must be strong, that Tom Adrounie. My old back would give out if I tried to swing like that. But it does not look that difficult, just swing the club and hit the ball, right? I guess I am wrong.

They say he’s got a bio. Whatever that is. Probably tells you how tall he is and how much he weighs and all that. My grandson showed me. Said it tells you where he’s from and when he was born. He’s got a hometown, just like everybody else. Don’t know why that’s so important, but the young folks seem to care about that stuff.

I saw a video once, Tom Adrounie, he was playin’ and his driver broke! Right in his hands! Must’ve been swingin’ too hard. That’s what my grandson said. I don’t understand the game, but it seems like you need a new driver if it breaks. They have those news, stats, and videos on him, so I guess he plays a lot.
Sometimes, I see them talkin’ about Tom Adrounie’s scores on the TV. Numbers goin’ up and down. My grandson tries to explain it to me. Lower is better, he says. I guess that makes sense. Like when you’re pickin’ apples, you want a lower number of bad ones. What’s a PGA Tour? My grandson keeps talking about it.
This golfin’ thing, it’s a mystery to me. But that Tom Adrounie, he must be pretty good at it. They follow him and take news on him. Everyone seems to know him, especially those sports guys. They even have his latest news. To be honest, I do not know what is latest news, probably just news.
Tom Adrounie’s Stats
My grandson showed me all these numbers they keep track of. Tom Adrounie’s stats, they call ’em. How far he hits the ball, how many times he hits it in the water, how many times he gets it in the hole. It’s a lot to keep track of. Seems like more trouble than it’s worth, if you ask me. He even has videos! They show his swing and how he plays. Does he get money from that?
They got pictures of him, too. Tom Adrounie smilin’, Tom Adrounie frownin’, Tom Adrounie swingin’ that club. He looks like a nice enough fella, I guess. Got to make a living somehow, and he chose golfing. It sure beats workin’ in the fields, that’s for sure. He is a professional golfer, so I guess he gets money from playing it. That’s good. No need to break his back in the fields.
This Tom, seems like he’s always playin’ somewhere. My grandson says he’s on some kind of tour, and he follows him. Travelin’ all over the place. Must be nice to see the world like that. They say some other golfers from something called LIV can play too. I have no idea what that is, but it is probably another golf tour.
They got all kinds of results for Tom Adrounie. Wins, losses, ties. Seems like he wins some and loses some, just like everybody else. Life’s like that, ain’t it? You win some, you lose some. As long as you keep swingin’, I guess. That’s what I always say. Just keep playin’ the game and do your best.
Well, that’s all I know about that Tom Adrounie fella. He is some golfer from the United States. He’s a golfer, that’s for sure. Plays a lot of golf, that one. Seems like a decent sort, though. Hope he does well for himself. Maybe he’ll come visit sometime. I’d offer him some pie if he did. Everyone likes pie, right? My pie is the best in the county, if I do say so myself. Maybe I should bake him one. A pie might help him win. Who knows. This is just a thought. He probably has many people cooking for him. So, yeah, that’s Tom Adrounie.
