Well, let me tell you, that Phoenix Suns and Brooklyn Nets game was somethin’ else. I seen a lot of basketball in my day, but that one, that was a real barn burner. All them young fellas runnin’ up and down, throwin’ that ball around. Lordy, it was hard to keep up!
Player Stats? You Mean How Good They Done?
Them player stats, you say? Well, I ain’t no expert on them numbers, but I can tell ya who caught my eye. See, there was this one fella, Tyrese somethin’. He was a real firecracker, that one. He was all over the place. He made a career-high 30 points. You know, like when you bake a whole mess of biscuits, and you just keep makin’ more and more? That’s what he was doin’ with them points. Just kept pilin’ ’em up!
Now, them Phoenix Suns, they got some good players too, no doubt. But them Brooklyn Nets, they’re a tough bunch. They put up a whole mess of points, over a hundred, I reckon. Like 109.2 points or somethin’. That’s a lot of trips to the well, if you know what I mean. They play like a team, share the ball, help each other. You don’t see that as much anymore.
That November 28 game, I tell ya, it was one for the books. Those fellas they were throwin’ up 2-pointers, 3-pointers, free throws like a cat lappin’ up milk. They kept throwin’ that ball in the hoop. Back and forth, back and forth. It was excitin’, I tell ya.
Who Got More Points, You Ask?
I ain’t one for keepin’ track of all them numbers, but I do remember there was a lot of points flyin’ around. You know how it is, sometimes you just gotta watch and enjoy the game, not worry so much about who’s winnin’ and who’s losin’. Just like life, ain’t always about keepin’ score.

But them rebounds, that’s where the real work gets done. It’s like when you’re pickin’ vegetables in the garden, gotta get down in the dirt sometimes. That’s what them boys was doin’, fightin’ for every one of them rebounds. And that shootin’ percentage, that’s important, too. Like when you’re aimin’ at a squirrel with your slingshot, gotta be accurate, you know?
It ain’t like the old days. Now there’s all these fancy numbers. Back in my day, we just knew who was good and who wasn’t. You could see it in their eyes, in the way they moved. But these player stats, they do tell a story, I suppose. They tell ya who’s hustlin’, who’s puttin’ in the work.
It Was A Good Game, I Reckon
All them young fellas, they got a lot of heart. They play hard, they play fair, most of the time. It’s good to see. Reminds me of when I was young, always runnin’ around, full of energy. Now, I’m just happy to sit and watch. And eat my pie.
