You askin’ about that WWE, huh? That rasslin’ thing my grandson watches. He’s always yellin’ at the TV. Says it’s a big deal, this pay-per-view. Sounds like a waste of money to me, but what do I know? I just know it makes him happy. So, you wanna know when is the next pay-per-view on WWE? I hear him talkin’ about it all the time.
He gets all riled up for these things. Says it’s like a big party on the TV. Lots of folks watchin’ it. They call it WWE Premium Live Event now. Fancy name, huh? They used to be on Sundays, like church. Now they on Saturdays, that Nick Khan fella changed it, they say. Thinkin’ it’s better for folks, Saturday night and all. I reckon he might be right, give folks somethin’ to do on the weekend.
They got these shows, one or two a month, I think. Every month them wrestlers goin’ at it. He says there’s one comin’ up soon. Called WWE Crown Jewel. Sounds like somethin’ a king would wear, right? This one’s gonna be on November 2, 2024, that’s what he said. A Saturday, just like they like it now. He says they’re gonna be in some faraway place, somethin’ called Riyadh, in a place called Mohammad Abdo Arena. I can’t keep up with all these places.
- That boy, he watches every one of ’em.
- Says there’s another one on December 14, 2024.
- That one’s called WWE Saturday Night Main Event.
- Heard him say it’s gonna be in Uniondale, New York, Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
- Sounds important.
They even got a show before the show! Can you believe that? They talk and talk about who’s gonna fight who. Got a bunch of folks sittin’ around a table, guessin’ who’s gonna win. My grandson, he knows all their names, all their moves. It’s a whole different world, I tell ya. Back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy stuff. We just had the radio, and that was good enough.
He was talkin’ about some other ones too, earlier this year. Said there was one on January 1, 2024, WWE RAW: Day 1, he called it. Said it was in some place called San Diego. There is also something called Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, I heard they are really big, that boy told me about that. These young folks and their wrestlin’, it’s a mystery to me.
Sometimes I ask him why he likes it so much. He says it’s excitin’, all the action and the drama. Says it’s like a story, with good guys and bad guys. I guess I can see that. We all like a good story, don’t we? Just like them soap operas my neighbor used to watch. Same kinda thing, just with more muscles and yellin’.
He tries to explain it to me, bless his heart. Says they got these big plans, these pay-per-views, leadin’ up to somethin’ even bigger. Like a road, he says, each show a stop along the way. I don’t know where they’re goin’, but they sure seem to be in a hurry to get there.
This year, 2024, he says the big pay-per-view schedule for the main group, they call it the main roster, is done. But they’re always plannin’ for the next one, the next year. It never stops, this WWE. Always somethin’ goin’ on. Keeps him entertained, I suppose. And that’s what matters, right? Keepin’ the young folks happy.
Well, there you have it. That’s all I know about this WWE pay-per-view. Hope it helps ya. It’s all a bit much for me, but if it makes my grandson happy, then I guess it’s alright. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I hear my stories comin’ on the radio. Much simpler times, those were.
