That Brown, he’s a tough one, I tell ya. He’s gonna fight that Santos fella. Big fight, this one. They call it UFC 302. Sounds fancy, don’t it? I heard it’s gonna be on June 1st. Big day, big day. Brown, he’s the favorite, they say. Whatever that means. He must be pretty good, I reckon.
That Santos, he ain’t no pushover, though. He’s a fighter, that one. They say this is the main card, this fight. Big deal, I guess. I remember back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy UFC things. We just had good ol’ fashioned fisticuffs down by the creek. Simpler times, simpler times.
This Brown fella, he’s on a roll, they say. Three wins in a row! Can you believe it? Three! He must be eatin’ his spinach. Or maybe it’s that fancy trainin’ they do nowadays. Back in my day, we just chopped wood and hauled water. That was our trainin’. And we were tough as nails, let me tell ya.
This fight, it’s gonna be a big one. Brown vs Santos. Sounds like a movie, don’t it? I bet there will be a lot of folks watchin’. They say it’s a “pivotal matchup.” Whatever that means. Sounds important, though. Must be somethin’ to do with that UFC thing. They got all sorts of rules and regulations, I hear.

Now, I heard Brown, he fought some other fella before. This was also at this UFC 302 thing. Same name but they said this one was called UFC 302: Makhachev vs. Poirier. They have long names for things. Anyways, he won that one too. Some “unanimous decision” they called it. Sounds like everyone agreed he was the best. Good for him, I say. Good for him.
I remember one time, my nephew, he got into a scrap with a boy down the road. They were fightin’ over a chicken, I think it was. Or maybe it was a goat. Can’t rightly recall. Anyway, it was a real mess. Blood and feathers everywhere. These UFC fellas, they got it easy, I tell ya. They got rules and referees and all that. We just had to settle things ourselves, back in the day.
This other fella, this Santos guy fought a long time ago, but I hear he won as well. I bet he’s been eatin’ his spinach too. Or maybe it’s that fancy water they drink nowadays. They got all sorts of fancy drinks now. Back in my day, we just had well water. And it was good enough for us. Made us strong, it did.
This whole Brown vs Santos thing, it’s got everyone talkin’. Even old Mrs. Henderson down the road, she’s talkin’ about it. And she don’t know nothin’ about fightin’. She just likes to gossip. But it just goes to show ya, this is a big deal. A real big deal.
I reckon I’ll try to watch it, if I can figure out that newfangled television. It’s got so many buttons, it’s confusin’. Back in my day, we just had the radio. And we were happy with it. We didn’t need no fancy pictures movin’ around on a screen. We had our imaginations, we did. They should have a radio broadcast of this Brown vs Santos fight for us old folks.
Anyway, I’m rootin’ for Brown. He seems like a good boy. Even though I don’t know him from Adam. But he’s the favorite, and I always root for the favorite. Unless I don’t like ’em. Then I root for the other guy. But in this case, I’m rootin’ for Brown. Hope he wins. It’ll be somethin’ to talk about down at the general store.
I heard there’s another fight with this Brown fella. Against some guy named Battle. Randy Brown vs Bryan Battle, they call it. That was a while ago though. December 7th, I think they said. Must be a busy boy, this Brown. Always fightin’ someone. Hope he don’t get hurt. Fightin’ can be dangerous, ya know.
These young folks today, they’re all about that UFC. They wear the shirts and the hats and they talk about it all the time. It’s a big business, I guess. Lots of money in it, I hear. More money than we ever saw back in my day. We just had our chickens and our goats and our gardens. And we were happy. Well, most of the time, anyway.
They even have betting odds and favorites. I don’t understand all that, but I hear Brown was at -184. That sounds like a good number. I guess. It’s all confusing but I hear that Randy Brown is a favorite to win.
So, there ya have it. Brown vs Santos. June 1st. UFC 302. Big fight. Big deal. Hope Brown wins. He’s the favorite, after all. And I always root for the favorite. Unless I don’t like ’em. But this time, I like him fine. I think. I don’t know.
